Mac Enlightenment Seminars
A fun and simple way to enjoy the most your Apple Mac computer has to offer.
Every Thursday from 6pm in store.
Owning an Apple computer, iPad, iPod and iPhone means you have revolutionary cutting edge technology at your fingertips. You are the envy of many.
Our Enlightenment Seminars are designed to help you get the most from your Apple products and send you on the path to becoming a Mac professional.
They are run in-store by Apple Product Professionals and Apple qualified support technicians, we refer to as MacGurus.
There are four separate seminars running every Thursday from 6pm, each covering a different topic. You can attend just one or all of them, and in any order you prefer.
To book your free place simply enter your receipt number as shown on the rear of your booklet (supplied with every new Mac sold in-store). Places are limited for your comfort and enjoyment, bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis.

Mac OS X introduction
Come and discover how to get the most from your computer. An easy to follow tour of the inner workings of your Mac. We’ll help you to get to grips with the features that make Mac OS X the perfect partner.
If you are new to Mac this is the perfect start for you. Your introduction to the World’s most advanced operating system Mac OS X.
We’ll show you the basics, from how to easily navigate through your files and folders, to customising your computer to suit your individual needs with an exploration of the System Preferences.
Essentials like surfing the web with Safari, sending, receiving and even customising emails using Apple Mail are all covered. Organise your life with iCal and keep your own Address Book. Most importantly, back up all your important files using
Time Machine. This seminar is a great way to fast track your competency with the core Mac OS.

iPhoto introduction
Come and discover how to get the most from your photos. An easy to follow tour of iPhoto, Apple’s award winning photo management software pre-installed on every new Mac. 
Almost everyone has a a digital camera. Whether you shoot photos with your iPhone, a compact pocket digital camera or a full sized professional digital SLR, iPhoto can catalogue and store all your images making it easy to share your pictures with family and friends.
We’ll show you how to import and organise photos, fix and enhance them using quick and simple adjustments and then finally the different ways to share them with just the click of a button.

During this seminar we’ll introduce you to some of the most popular, as well as some of the lesser known, features that help you get the most from your iPad.
Whether it’s how create a document, show friends and family your photos or watch films on your TV using Airplay, we’ll be guiding you through all the essentials.
We’ll also cover the basics of iTunes, the bridge between your computer and iPad and how to get all your important files on to your iPad.

Opening a new store in St. Albans makes for an exciting time. There’s been a whole team of us both at Solutions inc. and Apple UK, working around the clock to make sure the store launched on time. Behind the scenes it feels as though we have moved mountains to get everything just so.
The design process undertaken by Apple EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Asia) is a tried and tested process with more than 500 stores so far. St. Albans is one of the first UK stores to feature Apple’s latest in-store furniture.
For me, St. Albans was an obvious choice of location. All of our store locations are selected, at least in part, on my own desire to live, work and spend time in the nicest towns and cities of England. We started in Brighton & Hove, followed by Bournemouth, Chichester, Guildford and now St Albans; six stores in total.
We may be not the largest chain, but then that was never our goal. Solutions inc. after 18 years of championing Apple has always tried to stand out from the crowd. We have a hugely experienced team and work with Apple in more ways than you may realise. Your local store will soon have its own education advisor to assist schools, public and private. The same is true for local businesses.
We recruit locally, resource where we can from local businesses. We hope to bring something new and exciting to St. Albans.

Solutions inc. is set to open a new, larger Apple Premium Reseller store just a few yards from Chichester’s famous Cross, having enjoyed five years of success in its original store on South Street which first opened in 2008. “The move to new, larger premises was undertaken after two years of consideration and careful planning. It proved very difficult for us to find the right location. Despite the recent national decline in retail, there have been very few suitable vacant stores in Chichester.”, states John Parvin, Managing Director & co-founder of Solutions inc. “An incredible amount of detail goes into each new store plan. Apple are very particular about store location, shape and size so Solutions inc. worked closely with them on finding this new store. One definite improvement over the old store is the new, larger training suite. It is fitted out with the latest equipment and pleasantly located on the first floor, with views overlooking the high street and the cathedral. With the new store we want to focus more on in-store events, personal training and developing skills. Creativity and innovation are important in schools and business alike and devices such as iPad are changing the way we learn. We are in talks with Chichester University, local schools and businesses alike to better understand local needs. We want to play our part in the community. Our new store also benefits by having a much larger repair centre. With more and more people choosing Apple it is nice to know there is an Apple-authorised repair centre in the heart of Chichester. The only such example across West Sussex. Personally, I think its our best store yet. Chichester is a special place with a unique visitor catchment. Customers have been extremely loyal to us and we were keen to make further investment in Chichester before considering new additional towns and new store locations. What we are planning for Chichester will form the blueprint for our future store developments.” Solutions inc. was formed in 1992 by John Parvin & Aidan Bowen. Having shared a passion for design & technology at school, Aidan went on to study a degree in Architecture, while John was given an apprenticeship in his father’s computer company. They were 22 years old went they decided to approach Apple with their own concept of an Apple shop. Today Solutions inc. has six retail stores and continues to be the premium Apple partner & eduction expert on the south coast.
