Creativity Workshop: Barcelona
Year 9 Geography field trip
Organise, edit, share.
A group of year nine students take a geography field trip to Barcelona. We bring together, organise and edit their photos & video clips. We prepare factual information about the city and its culture. Next we record a narrative, add sound effects and a backing track. Then we finish it off with animated titles. We build a web site complete with photo gallery, travel blog and a video podcast in just one hour. A real eye-opener that shows just how easy it is to start making compelling digital content in the class and then share it online.
A two hour hands-on workshop delivered at your school, normally as a twilight session between 3 & 6 pm. We can bring MacBooks or use your own Mac Suite if you prefer. The aim of the session is to empower teachers from across the curicullum to use Mac technologies to engage and motivate learners. Inspiring a more creativite approuch to teaching and learning.
Workshop for up to 12 staff - £595.00
Special Offer: For every pound you spend, we give 5% back towards teacher workshops.
e.g. £6,000 gives you 50% off. Every £12,000 gets you one free workshop.

Testimonials
I just wanted to say thank you for the recent Apple iLife training session at our Academy. I thought the range of tools we explored and used were highly enlightening. I was very impressed by the capability and ease of use of the MacBooks. I thought the level at which the session was pitched was spot on. The pace was brisk without jumping ahead too quickly. The trainer, Marc, was knowledgeable, helpful and conveyed his passion for Apple in an easy-going and accessible manner. Thanks to this session I now feel confident in integrating the use of Apple Mac’s into my lessons and am sure that I can help support my students in doing so.
Paul Cadman - ICT Classroom and Training Support, The Eastbourne Academy
It was clear to see from the demonstration how iLife empowers students to create professional looking projects. I was particularly impressed how easy it was to create the podcast and publish to the web in less than an hour!
Paul Bemment - IT Support Manager, Bitterne Park Secondary School
The session was great! As I am new to using Macs, this was a great insight as to how easy and intuitive they can be. Since seeing the podcasting demo, we have already started students working on their own podcast for revision material for their GCSEs. Its nice to see that not everything has to be complicated. The course was great, pitched just right.
Phil Messingham - ICT Teacher, Winton School in Andover
I personally found the seminar very helpful to my professional development. I was able to reflect on my role as a teacher and think of ways to integrate the new skills into my school/classes. In addition to this I found it useful as a Mac owner, as I have only owned a mac for 6 months and I gained valuable hints and tips. I am also not as afraid of Garageband and I have added it back onto my dock. Do continue to keep me informed of the seminars/events coming up. Thank you for your help. (The cake was good too.)
Paul Kenchington - Teacher of Science & Citizenship Coordinator, Avonbourne School, Bournemouth
The creative project was great: really useful and informative. Seeing how quick and easy it was to build a website and the quality of the results was a revelation. It gave me so many ideas to use in school.
