Wednesday 21st July; Guest teacher / trainer, Apple Distinguished Educator, Oscar Sringer ran two advanced movie making workshops exploring the more advanced features in iMovie 09 and then transitioning into Final Cut Pro. Attendees included several media teachers, two lecturers from Chichester University and some staff from the local authority. Even on one of the hottest days of the year, everyone lasted the whole session and learned loads.
Wednesday 31st March, Apple distinguished Educator, Mike Watkinson ran a series of sessions throughout the afternoon and evening featuring Garageband and Logic Studio. We were joined by a range of music teachers and technicians, heads of music and the IT Director from a new local academy. We learned many new techniques and discovered that Garageband really can fulfil the GCSE music syllabus. Mike also demonstrated the power of Logic, time stretching and quantising real audio. The feedback was excellent and Felpham will now be hosting GarageBand and Logic workshops on a regular basis.
