Like so many of their compatriots, Court Lane Junior School in Hants have struggled for years with a conventional, unmanaged wireless network. Whilst parts of the network were functional, the school has not had the best experience of Wi-Fi when putting its 60+ laptops to use across the campus.

Responding to the call to increase device density with a plan to support a 1:1 initiative, the school was about to purchase another 32 netbooks; but we're worried that this would prove to be the "straw that broke the camel’s back" in terms of their WLAN's performance.

After looking into the various different technologies available, Meru Networks' unique solution for high density Wi-Fi stood out as the best system for education for the money:

"I had used Solutions Inc. in the past for Apple products and have always been impressed with their service and onsite education support. After visiting their Meru deployment at Brune Park in Gosport, I was extremely impressed. Aidan has worked really hard to come up with a solution that meets our budget and allows for growth in the future."
Andy Macfarlane - ICT Network Manager.Court Lane School, Cosham, Hants.

I am delighted that, as a Meru Pinnacle Partner, we were awarded the contract to supply the pervasive wireless LAN for Court Lane Junior School. They have made a significant investment in their students' futures by investing in the right infrastructure to fully support their mobile & handheld learning plans. I look forward to assisting Andy and the school's senior leadership team in making the most of their strategy over the coming years.
