Some headphone makers like to mess around with sound. At Bowers & Wilkins, that's a job we prefer to leave to the studio engineers. Without a doubt the Bowers & Wilkins P5's are the finest quality headphones available. The super soft leather earpieces, chrome side arms and
brushed metal plaques ooze quality. They look really cool on anyone's head and are comfortable to wear around the neck too.rnrnThe sound quality is
astounding. The P5's really do show off Bowers & Wilkins comprehensive knowledge of sound technology. There's no 'noise cancelling' feature but
the soft earpieces mould themselves so well and the balance is so neutral that almost any genre of music sounds exceptionally good. They deliver
thumping Hip Hop bass lines just as well as they do acoustic guitar noodlings or breathy vocals. rnrnAlternatively consider the Bose QC 3/15,
specially if you travel on planes a lot or the Monster Dr. Dre Beats. Neither will come close to the P5's luxurious finish though.rnrnMy only
criticism is the rather thin cable supplied, though they do have a volume control built-in. rn
