I love the LaCie Flat Cable series. They actually made buying a new cable an exciting experience for me (sad, I know). The Firewire 400-800 cable is
particularly useful for newer Macs who have shaken off the shackles of FireWire 400, but this is not the only product that does that- and not the
cheapest, though it is on the cheap side. The real advantage is that the design makes the cable a little bit more flexible than most, and it looks
particularly snazzy too. Who can argue with luminous orange? When all your cables are either black or grey, it's nice to have something stand out a
bit more- it avoids the common problem of accidentally unplugging the wrong device. Well, it happens to me anyway. It drops a star shy of a perfect
score because there is no option for a longer cable.
